Speech Therapy

Speech therapy at Feel At Home Special School is dedicated to helping individuals overcome communication challenges and develop effective verbal and nonverbal communication skills. Our certified speech-language pathologists work closely with clients of all ages to address speech disorders, language delays, voice disorders, fluency difficulties, and social communication deficits.

Our speech therapy services encompass a wide range of interventions tailored to meet each client's specific needs:

1. Articulation Therapy: We target speech sound errors and articulation difficulties through exercises and activities designed to improve clarity and pronunciation.
2. Language Therapy: We address receptive and expressive language skills, including vocabulary development, grammar, syntax, comprehension, and expressive communication.
3. Fluency Therapy: For individuals with stuttering or other fluency disorders, we employ techniques such as smooth speech strategies, desensitization exercises, and stuttering modification approaches to improve fluency and communication confidence.
4. Voice Therapy: We provide interventions to address voice disorders, such as vocal nodules, hoarseness, and pitch problems, through vocal hygiene education, vocal exercises, and vocal cord strengthening techniques.
5. Social Communication Skills Training: We focus on developing pragmatic language skills, social interaction abilities, conversational turn-taking, and perspective-taking skills to facilitate meaningful social interactions and relationships.
